Living Single

Understand you’re good enough all by yourself.  You’re a valuable person and you don’t need the approval of others for that to be true.  Galations 1:10 New Living translation.  Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.”

You have to know who you are in Christ!  People will approve of you one minute and disapprove of you the next, just like they did with Jesus.  You have to be strong enough to walk out your destiny no matter who’s here and who’s not!!  Where’s your hope today?  My hope today is in Christ Jesus and I trust Him to bring the right people into my life at the right time.

You don’t need everybody liking you, just the right people!  It’s very easy to find someone to spend time with.  But when you have high standards for the people you allow in your life, you’re telling yourself that you’re better off by yourself than with someone who isn’t a great fit.  Instead of single time think of this time as your “all about me time”.  Because it’s going to be very different once you get married.  Your priorities will shift from yourself to your husband and later kids.  The key is enjoying each phase and stage of your life.
Being single is a time of preparation.  Men report that they love to see a single woman doing her “thing”.  Whether that be a professional woman going about her business, a woman that looks healthy happy and engaged in life as opposed to the smell of desperation.  Sure she would love to meet a great guy but until that happens she’s good.
You’re preparing yourself for the new season of your life while living in the present with an expectant heart toward the future.  God is teaching you how to depend on Him and stand by yourself.   Ephesians 6:13 (English Standard version) “Having done all to stand”, stand firm your a carefree single!  It’s a great time in your life.  1 Timothy 6:6  “Godliness with contentment is great gain.”
