Looking great at any age, Skin care tips for 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and Beyond

Looking great at any age has never been easier.  There’s a direct link between a healthy diet and great skin.  Promoting healthy skin with diet is all about adopting good nutritional habits.  Externally proper cleansing of the face and skin, along with keeping your skin moisturizer to prevent drying will go a long way to having great looking skin at any age.

  • 20’s

Fighting acne is usually the number one skin problem in your twenties.  See a dermatologist to identify your skin type to be sure that the products you buy are the best for your skin type.  In some cases the products you buy can actually irritate your skin.  It’s very important to thoroughly wash off makeup at night before bed.  Makeup left on overnight seeps into your pores, clogs them, and produces acne.  Look for a water based oil-free cleansers.  Try “Clear” pictured below.

  • 30’s

For some of us fine lines and wrinkles start to appear in your 30’s and skin tones become more uneven.  Dermatologists suggest anti-agers, like “Retinol”.

  • 40’s

At this stage wrinkles and age spots set in.  Dermatologist suggest Peptide packed moisturizer.  Peptides even out pigmentation and increase collagen.

  • 50’s

In your 50’s hormonal changes may lead to dehydrated skin.  Counteract these effects by using glycollic acid.  It revs up cell turnover so skin stays smooth.

  •  60’s

A drop in estrogen makes skin drier with less elasticity.   I suggest using Jane Seymour’s skin care line “Natural advantage”.  Why this product?  She’s 63 yrs old, never had Botox or face-lift, she’s aged naturally and she looks fantastic.

Home buying tips for your first Home

Buying your first home is exciting, and one of the biggest purchases you’ll ever make and the single biggest investment so you’ve got to be smart about it.  Research and form a solid plan.

5 Tips to Buying your first Home

  •  Know your credit score.

  •  Evaluate assets and liability.  Consider annual income, annual expenses, and savings.  A first time    home buyer should have a sense of what is coming in and what’s going out.

  •  Organize Documents.  When applying for mortgages home buyers must document income and taxes.

  •  Qualify yourself.  By calculating debt to ratio and factoring in a down payment you’ll have a good idea of what you can afford.

  •  Figure out your down payment.  Think about things like inspection cost, property taxes, homeowners insurance.  Speak with mortgage lenders when you’re starting the process.  Research home investment partnership program which is a federal block grant to create affordable housing.  Each state is different.

Being grounded in Faith

How important is it to be grounded in Faith?  What exactly does it mean to be grounded?  It means to be unshakeable, immovable in your faith.  To have had enough experiences with God that nothing can take from you the love of God.  You believe God will make all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.

5 Scriptures to ground your Faith

  •  Hebrews 11:6,  “Without faith it is impossible to please God”

  •  Ephesians 6:16, “Above all taking the shield of faith, ye shall be able to quench the fiery darts of the wicked.”

  •  1 Corinthians 16:13, “Be watchful and stand firm in faith.”

  •  Mark 5:3-4, “Your faith has made you whole.”

  •  Romans 10:17, “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”
