Celebrating Father’s Day

Honoring men in the month of June.  Time to honor the special men in your life.  Husbands, fathers, grandfathers, stepdads,  brothers, sons,.  Thank God for the gift of the male influence, which God intended!  The leadership of a father should be celebrated.  Billy Gram’s famous quote says:  “A good father is one of the most valuable assets in society unnoticed and upraised.”  At SCW we value Good Dads!  His role is not to be discounted because it is significant.  Did you know that gangs are the result of no fathers!  The positive effects of a Father has been studied at the University of Pennsylvania.  Research has shown that 82% of studies of father involvement and child well-being found significant associations between a positive father involvement and children’s well-being.

  • Positive father care is associated with more pro social and positive moral behavior in boys and girls.
  • Children who feel a closeness and warmth with their father are twice as likely to enter college.
  • 80% less likely to be incarcerated, and less likely to show various signs of depression.
  • 75% less likely to have a child in their teen years.

Fathers play an important and irreplaceable role in healthy child development.

Happy Fathers Day to My Husband, an Amazing Dad ,our kids are lucky to have you!

Author’s Note:  A very special Happy Fathers Day goes out to all SCW men readers and followers.  You are needed, you are appreciated, continue doing God’s will.  The gift of a strong father is a wonderful gift to have.  This year Father’s Day in the SCW camp we’ll be at home, very simple and relaxing.   We’ll have a Fathers Day barbecue at the pool with the kids.  My husband loves steaks on the grill!  Also our daughter is graduating from college so it will be a Fathers Day and graduation celebration!  Have a blessed day!
