The Lord’s name is to be Praised!

Welcome Friends!  June 21st is the official start of summer!  Time for vacations, relaxation, and harvest.  The earth is in bloom.  Great is his faithfulness!  “Hold fast to your faith, and to that which is good in your life!” James 1:3  Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. My prayer for you in this season is in Ephesians 3: 16-17 “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you are rooted and established in love.”  It is my pleasure to speak life to you and uplift you!  The Best is yet to come!

Celebrating Father’s Day

The importance of strong involved Fathers is undeniable.  A father is a blessing from God.  May you always honor him and let him know that you appreciate his presence in your life. Let him know what it has meant to you and how he has shaped your life.  It is a commandment from God to honor him. Ephesians 6:1-3 “Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise, so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth”.  If you’re reading this and you did not have an active father in your life like me, God has you covered as well.  Psalm 68:5 says that “God is a father to the fatherless”!  God, our passage says, is a father to the fatherless.  God has the care and concern and compassion of an adoptive parent.  He treats those who have been mistreated, those who have had no dads, as His own children, amen.  If you are reading this and haven’t been the best father, it’s not to late.  Pray and  take action to turn things around with your children.  So Rejoice always in the goodness of the Lord.  Have a blessed father’s day weekend to all.

We have a number of men followers as well that read SCW bless their hearts, and I want to give a special shout out for Fathers, You are significant!  Happy fathers day from the SCW family!!!!

To My Husband: You give our children someone to admire, respect and honor.  You are a fantastic father!  Happy fathers day to my faithful Husband. The kids and I have a great weekend planned.  It’s your weekend !!!!!

Thinking about what to get Dad for father’s day?  You can start with your acknowledgement and appreciation for all he does and what he means in your life.  Appreciation is better than any gift.  For tangible fun gifts for Dad we’ve got some ideas.
Dad’s have complained that Mom’s get all the good gifts and they’d like to have something they can actually use. Start with his interests.  What does he like to do?  Is he a golfer?  A fisherman?  A tech guy like my husband.  Or is there something particular that he “needs” at this moment?  Whatever interests him tailor your gift toward that.

The Newness of Life!

Do you know who you are in Christ?  The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “If any man be in Christ he is a new creature the old man has passed away and behold all things have become new!!!”  It is certainly true in my life.  God came in, demolished the old building which was my former life.  In much the same way as contractors.  He came in blew up the old building, it fell to the ground, crushed the remaining pieces, then he sent in a clean up crew to remove and discard any remnants of the former structure.  Next he placed me in a new location on good soil and replanted me.

God formed a new foundation, new structure, providing the scaffolding and started building me brick by brick.  Birth is painful!!!!!  Pain is an indication that birth is getting close!  The faster the pains the closer the birth!  I give all praise, honor and Glory to God for New birth!  Amen!  God is doing something “New” in your life!  Thank God for the Newness of Life!

Smart tip of day: Romans 7:25 says “Remember that it is with the mind that we serve the Lord.”  So the enemy wants to get in your head and tie up your mind with negative thoughts. Your weapon against it is in Phillipians 4:8  “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things”.  God is simply saying think on what is good!!!  Sure there are some problems, some issues, things that need to be worked out etc…. that’s life and it is not perfect and it’s never going to be.  But as a child of God you can have joy no matter what the circumstances are!

Don’t let circumstances intimidate you.  It doesn’t matter what it looks like when God wants you to win there’s no devil in hell that can stop it!!!!  Glory to God!  “So count it all joy my sisters and brothers knowing that the trying of your faith worketh patience and patients have its perfect work so that you may be complete and lacking nothing!”  Because we know that Romans 8:28 says, “ALL things work together for the good of the those that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose!”  Have a great week! Amen!
