Couples (Dating, Engaged, long-term)

Ladies I want to emphasize what being a couple means, and what it should mean for a Christian Woman.  A Smart Christian woman Does not just aimlessly date without purpose with just any man who asks her out (as if).  No, a smart Christian woman wants a Godly man, the Christian man who god has for her.  Which means she only accepts date with men that are on the same page as her as far as her beliefs and values (A Christian man).  A man who has created a future for himself, is stable, and able to support a wife and family and wants to settle down.

That doesn’t mean on  the first date she tells him she wants to get married and have kids by next week!   Through conversation and getting to know someone it won’t take long at all to find out where this man’s head is at!  So you do want a man who is looking for that long-term relationship that leads to a life partnership!  So he’s either that type of man or he is  not, but in any case life is short and a smart woman doesn’t waste time with men who aren’t suitable for her ie unequally yoked!

Easter Blessings to Resurrect your Spirit!

He Is Risen!  Glory to God, in the name of the Father, name of the Son, and the Holy Spirit!  It’s resurrection Sunday!  A day of hope and Victory!  Given to us by our King.  The hope that we can have victory in every area of our lives!  We can resurrect our families, we can resurrect our marriages, we can resurrect our children, our lifestyles, our spirits, we can resurrect our business.  Whatever it is in your life that is not working God can turn it around!!!!!!  Even when you go through the fire!  God can make it so you don’t even smell like smoke!

Isaiah 43:2, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you, and when you pass through the rivers they will not sweep you over.  When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, the flames will not set you ablaze!  It shall not consume you!”

Acts:1:18,  “Ye Shall receive Power! When Holy Spirit Comes upon you.”

Thought for the day:  The greatest power in eternity, ( The Lord God Almighty) Loves us, died for us, and is on our side!  It’s the greatest blessing we could ever receive as Believers!  Tell that devil “you don’t know who your messing with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Spring Date Night ideas 2018

Time to enjoy the outdoors with that special someone.  There’s no better time than spring to enjoy the fresh air, and the beautiful flowers in bloom.  Having fun with activities, and creating memories.  Spring is the perfect time to enjoy great dates!

10 Spring Date Night Ideas

Pack a picnic basket and blanket, find a quiet spot to picnic in the park.  My husband and I have actually packed a lunch and grilled at the picnic site.  There were grills already there.  But you could bring your own small grill.  He loves to grill steaks, and they’re delicious!

Most cities have a “painting for couples and singles studio”.  It’s an activity meant to be interactive and fun with the goal of building team work and bringing you closer together.  Who cares that you can’t paint, the point of it is to spend time.

Kill 3 birds with one stone. Go  for a hike with your sweetie.  You’ll get exercise, explore the scenery and spend time with your significant other.  It’s a great way to reconnect.

Find an outdoor concert and double date. Outdoor concerts are fun and easy to find online and best of all most are free.

Find a cozy spot and hang out at your favorite park.  Stop and smell the roses.

Dine at a restaurant that has an outdoor Patio.  Take advantage of the opportunity to dine outside.

Not just a movie, try a 3D experience! love 3D it’s my favorite type of movie.  Action films are especially enjoyable with 3D you feel like you’re part of the action,.

Get dressed to the nines and  try at new restaurant that neither of you has been to.  There’s a tendency with couples to do the tried and true things.  However trying new things brings with it it’s own excitement.

Road Trip! Gas and Go, wherever the spirit leads.  May only be an hour or two away.  The objective is to have fun.

Begin or end your evening watching a beautiful sunset.

Suffering Hardships

Today I want you to choose joy!  In spite of your circumstances.  As believers you’re going to suffer hardships; loss of job, divorce, family problems, death of a loved one, broken relationships, unexpected issues, and losses.  As Christ had to suffer so shall we.  The bible is clear, John 16:33, “In this world, you will have trouble, but cheer up I have overcome the world.”

Just as Christ has overcome so can we with his help.  “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.”  That means that the forces that are for us are far greater than the forces against us. 1 Peter 4:12-19, “So Beloved think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing has happened. But rejoice in as much as ye are partakers of Christ suffering, that when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.”

Our circumstances may not be ideal but have peace in the fact that you are on the winning team my friend!  Romans 8:28,  “We know that all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose!  So it doesn’t matter what it looks like today, God can turn it around!!!!!! and amaze you!

I’ve seen Him do again and again!  So hang in there!  Though weeping may endure for a night, God Help me JOY is coming!!!!!!  I believe that with every fiber in my being!  When God gets ready to bless you there’s no devil in hell that can stop it!  In name of the Father, in name of the Son, in name of the Holy Spirit!!!!  I hope you were encouraged by this, I’m an eternal optimist.  I choose to think positively even in the midst of my unpleasant circumstances.

I just always believe that things will work out and they usually do.  And even if they don’t, life’s too precious and too short to dwell on things I can’t control.  I’ve gotten better with just not worrying about stuff all the time.  Pray about it, do what I can do about it and let God handle the rest.

Like yesterday for example, we had (my husband and I) an unexpected issue come up that was not in our favor, really disappointing.  But by the end of the night he had me laughing hysterically about it!  He can be a very funny guy!  But I need that.  Life’s problems can beat you down if you let it.  But a positive spirit is life and health to the body and laughter is good medicine.  Matthew 9:29,  “So be it unto you according to your faith!”

Coping with Life’s Transitions

Everything happens for a reason.  When our lives are in transition it’s important to count your blessings and remember your victories.  As the Bible declares there’s a time for everything and God’s timing is not often our own.  But He knows what’s best for us and will lead and guide us to the place where he would have us to be in his divine time!  The uncertainty and the waiting is the hard part. Remember that he who waits upon the Lord shall renew their strength!!!!  You can do this!!!!

  • From Unsaved to Christian
  • From Single Life to Married Life
  • Becoming a parent
  • From full house to empty nest
  • Divorced and starting over
  • Starting a new career
  • From College Life to real life
  • From healthy to health problems
  • The death of a loved one or parent
  • The ending of a relationship
  • A new relationship
  • Expanding your family
  • The Loss of a spouse
  • Changing careers
  • Trials with Children
  • A move to a new place
  • Employed to unemployed
  • From active to retirement

1.  Accept and embrace the change where you are at, on the way to where you are going.  Trust God’s timing.

2.  Concentrate on the new opportunities that a life change will bring.  Look forward to what God will do.

3.  Pray and lean on God to renew your spirit.  Be patient with yourself give yourself time to adjust.
